It’s become second nature to replace old items with new ones, but with baths, the process of removal and replacement is far more complicated. Vitreous enamel involves coating your bath in powdered glass and fusing it onto the surface using a kiln at high temperatures. Due to the high temperatures involved, vitreous enamel can’t be performed in-situ, and it’s becoming increasingly rare among companies.
